When Morgan and Chaps first reached out and told me they were traveling from Iowa to Colorado to celebrate their love I could not have been more excited they chose my home turf of Grand County to do so. 

They rented a house in the mountains, invited some of their closest friends and family to watch as they became one. Every detail from this wedding was unbelievably special. The story of Morgan's dress gives me chills and will forever hold a special place in my heart. 11 yeas ago there was a  fire that consumed one of the families homes, they had thought they lost everything. Little did mom know, grandma had salvaged the dress she had worn on her wedding day, it was the only thing that survived the fire. Morgan asked her grandmother not to tell her mom because she knew she wanted to wear it herself on her own wedding day. So for 11 years she kept a secret and on the day she reveals to her parents the dress they both thought was long gone. 

This was only one of the many moments through the day that definitely made this photographer shed a tear.

I will forever have a place in my heart for Mo + Chaps and thankful forever for being part of a wedding I will never forget.
